Troop 49 Eagle Project
-
Propose it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to do a good turn for your local historical society. Maybe you want to create a sign to welcome local residents and travelers to walk inside. Or maybe you just would like to influence future generations to step inside and learn about the amazing accomplishments of the men and women who lived here. Maybe you would enjoy to share the knowledge with the world. Whatever it is, the way you complete your project can make all the difference.
-
Build it.
It started with a proposal. Many adults are involved in getting approval. Leading a team of scouts accomplishes more than a single person can do. Adults are needed to operate power tools. Volunteers can have scheduling difficulties. Weather can cause delays but the job needs to get done.
-
Complete it.
It does not end until you get all the paperwork signed off. Completing the physical work can be so much fun that paperwork can seem less important. Your finished project is a visual reminder but the paperwork can teach future generations.
Memories made.
Scouts help each other. The patrol method accomplishes more than an individual scout. Eagles gain the credit for leading the endeavor. The troop shares the good will generated by Eagle Projects. The emotions for parents are priceless!
Attention to details
Putting it altogether. Trusting others to put their heart into your project. Supervising a crew of volunteers. Crunching the paperwork. It’s real life.
